Over the years many people have asked for our thoughts on various commercial products that might be useful additions to the Biorepair Metabolic Healing Program. Now, due to ever increasing inquiries, we’ve decided to add a new resource to our website: an ongoing list of our recommendations for these sorts of manufactured goods.
These are things related to different aspects of healing, e.g., food preparation, body care, exercise, relaxation, etc. Though not essential for success, these items can, in our experience, make the healing process easier, more effective, and, in some cases, more fun. In some instances, we highlight specific quality brands and models; otherwise, we offer general guidelines to help you choose among options.

1. Vitamix Blender
Vitamix has been making power blenders for over 100 years. We have found the professional 5200 model the best all around, but all models are excellent and include a 7 year warranty and comprehensive recipe guide. This appliance is pricey, but worth it. Reconditioned models are also available. Easy to operate and clean. Vitamix is a truly great kitchen companion for making healthy smoothies, soups, nut butters or whatever.

2. Waterwise
Home water distillers. Distillation is the most efficient and inexpensive way to produce pure water (99.9% chemical-free, including chlorine- and fluoride-free). 3. Juicer
There are basically 2 types of juicers: masticating (expeller, ejector) vs. centrifugal. Centrifugal types are an acceptable lower cost option, but masticating juicers are superior because they use cold-press — the juice does not get heated — and overall they are more efficient than the centrifugal in extracting maximum nutrients. There are many excellent masticating models. We highly recommend the mid-range-priced Omega Cold Press Juicer NC900HDC, but there are many others.
4. Saladmaster
This 78+ year old company makes possibly the best quality stainless steel cookware available. It is high end, heirloom worthy, including a wide range of waterless pots for easy preparation (a boon for so-called “non-cooks”), maximum nutrient preservation and delicious taste. Plus, these pots are nearly impossible to harm, even if left accidentally on the stove! (Trust us — we’ve done that!) All products come with a limited lifetime warranty.

5. Food Dehydrator
This is a nice addition to your kitchen, if you have the time and interest in experimenting with food preservation. To remove phytic acid (which binds some minerals like calcium, zinc, iron), soak raw nuts over night, then dry in the dehydrator, which adds a nice crunch and flavor. For snacks, try drying fruits, e.g., banana chips, apple, mango, coconut slices, as well as other foods to extend life. Plus it’s fun! Nesco is a reliable, no-frills, reasonably-priced model, which includes a good manual and recipe ideas.
6. Mini-trampoline (rebounder)
See our article “On the Rebound.” The rebounder is a terrific way for all ages to get and stay in shape — no jumping or wild gyrations necessary. Just a gentle bounce with feet planted on the surface will suffice to exercise every cell in your body, helping flush the lymph and normalize body functions, with no stress on joints — all to music, TV, if you like. The important thing is to stay in motion, if only for a few minutes at a time. There are many good reasonably-priced choices. The lower end (below $100) might be right for kids, but best not to go too low for all around use. The higher end rebounders ($100 – 250) are sturdier, quieter, longer lasting. Important features to look for: foldable base for easy storage, option of an attachable adjustable safety rail, a base between 40” – 48” diameter. Some models come with workout videos, but that’s not really necessary — just check out YouTube or make it up as you go along.

8. Foot Scrubber
Give your feet a treat at the end of the day. Nerve endings for all the organs of the body are found in the soles of our feet.
