- 4 Medium apples, cored (Rome apples are a good baking variety)
- 2-3 Tbsp. raisins (soaked)
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- Pre-heat oven to 350F.
- Place cored apples in a glass-baking dish. Fill each center about 3/4 full with raisins and a few sprinkles of cinnamon. Pour enough apple juice in to fill to the top. Pour remaining juice on bottom of pan to cover.
- Cover and bake 45 Minutes. Serve with chopped nuts on top.
Variation: Substitute pears for apples.Instead of nuts pour nut cream on top to serve.
Makes 4 servings.
