- 3-3 1/2 lb. Whole organic turkey (or chicken) roaster
- 1/2 lemon
- 1-2 cups chopped fruit (choose one): apple, pear, pineapple, orange, plum etc.
- Pre-heat oven to 450 F.
- Set the turkey (or chicken) in a shallow baking dish. Squeeze lemon juice on flesh.
- Stuff turkey (or chicken) with fruit.
- Place the bird uncovered on a rack reduce the heat immediately to 350F.
- Roast about 20 minutes per pound, baste occasionally.
Makes 4-6 servings.
